Anti-Corruption & Transparency Unit

Anti-corruption and Transparency Unit(ACTU) is set to enhance the accessibility to health service delivery through effective monitoring of procurement, supply and utilization of medical hardware and consumables to the satisfaction of undeserved, rural and hard-to-reach communities in Nigeria. Assuring accountability and transparency in the  application of funds, human and material resources for the development and stabilization in the nation's health sector.

The functions of ACTU include but not limited to the following;
1.- Report on all alleged cases of corruption to ICPC with copies forwarded to the Honorable Minister and Permanent Secretary in the ministry for their information only.
2.- Undertake the preliminary investigation on each report case with minimum delay and forward its findings to ICPC for further necessary action, if need arises.
3.- Monitoring the performance of yearly budgetary allocations in the Ministry, Department and Agencies(MDAs) in the health sector.
4.- Carry out education and enlightenment programmes through sensitization of officers and staffs on the ills of corruption.
5.- Institute survey and coordinate corruption RISK ASSESSMENT mechanism in an attempt to blow the whistle at the right point of action.
