The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, mni has condoled with the Federal Ministry of Health over the death of Dr. Haliru Alhassan, a former Minister of Health under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Through a statement signed by the NLC President, Comrade Wabba said “The death of the former Minister comes with sadness given his contribution to nation building, particularly in the health sector.”

Dr. Haliru Alhassan was Minister of Health, Co-Lead Nigeria Ebola Response Team between March, 2015 and May, 2015. The late Dr. Haliru Alhassan was also the Minister of State for Health and Chairman, Presidential Task Force on Polio Eradication in Nigeria between February 2014 and March, 2015.

In condoling with the Federal Ministry of Health, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, mni urged the Ministry to accept the heartfelt condolences of not just the NLC but also that of his family.
