Dr. Mamora gave this charge while presenting a letter of renewal of appointment to Dr. Yahaya Adamu as MD, FMC Keffi for a second and final term of four (4) years with effect from May 7th, 2022 at the Ministers Conference Room, Federal Secretariat Abuja.
The Minister stated that nobody can do it all. “You cannot do it all, you have to prioritize as much as possible. You should look at how you’ll consolidate on your achievements in the past four years. Finish the projects that you have started, upgrade what is on ground. Do not over stretch yourself, do not over stretch the Institution because the funds available are limited.”
He commended the MD and his team for coming thus far, to have had the opportunity of having a first term in office and now the grace and privilege to have been reappointed. He’s reappointment the Minister said, is on account of having been judged, to have done well in his first tenure which was verified by a process. “I’ve visited your institution on two occasions and I was quiet impressed with what I saw and it can only get better. I want to commend the board for the support, cordiality and peace because nothing can be achieved in an atmosphere of discord. Where there is no peace, there cannot be progress or development.”
Dr. Mamora while congratulating the MD, further charged him to work hard to ensure that the hospital continues to provide quality healthcare as well as justify the confidence reposed in him by working harmoniously with all stakeholders in support of Mr. President’s Health Sector Agenda.
Dr. Yahaya Adamu who was appreciative of his reappointment, said he does not see it as a right, but a privilege given by God to serve his home land. He pledged to ensure that projects started under his tenure, vital to the hospital are completed and would try as much as possible within the budgetary provision to upgrade the existing facilities in the Centre.
