The Nutrition Department of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, organizes the fifth batch of National Training of Trainers on Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) training package at Keffi , Nasarawa State from 18-25 March, 2024.
MIYCN training provides the health workers with the essential information and basic counseling skills needed to create awareness and counsel individuals, parents, families, caregivers and communities
on healthy feeding practices thereby contribute to reduction of malnutrition, and child and maternal mortality rates in the Country.
In addition to Promotion of Optimal Nutrition leaving No One Behind, the Nutrition Department also encourage individuals to engage in regular Physical Exercise: Participants observing early morning exercise during the ongoing National Training of Trainers on Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) practices at Keffi, Nasarawa State from 10-25 March, 2024.
